SL Green Realty Corp. (NYSE: SLG), Manhattan’s largest office landlord, today announced that it has entered into a contract to purchase 450 Park Avenue for $445.0 million from Oxford Properties. The transaction is expected to close in the second quarter, subject to customary closing conditions.

SL Green Paying $445M For Midtown Tower In First Office Buy Since 2018

The largest owner of Manhattan office space is making its made its first addition to its office holdings in four years. SL Green has reached a deal to buy 450 Park Ave., a 33-story, 337K SF skyscraper near Central Park, for $445M. The real estate investment trust expects to close on the acquisition from current owner Oxford Properties in the second quarter.

SL Green enters contract to buy Park Avenue tower for $445 million

SL Green Realty Corp. has entered into a contract to buy a 33-story Park Avenue tower for $445 million. The company plans to buy 450 Park Ave. from Oxford Properties, a real estate investor, manager and developer based in Toronto. The acquisition was announced Wednesday and is expected to close in the second quarter, subject to customary closing conditions, according to SL Green.
